Description

This riverside building is thought to be one of the oldest pubs in London, it was originally called ‘The Pelican’. It has had some illustrious patrons including Samual Pepys, Samual Johnson and Charles Dickens. The artists Turner and Whistler are recording as both sketching views of the
Thames from there.
